Mission. My research is centered around the problem of obtaining useful representations from noisy, unstructured input data without requiring expensive manual labeling. Motivated by cognitive science and robotics, I work to build machines that think in a more human-like way, combining techniques from graphical models, probabilistic programming, and deep learning.
